Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) will mark its 60th anniversary with an expanded Festival of Business, running from 16–19 June. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the four-day festival will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and academic experts to explore how businesses can help society tackle major challenges and seize emerging opportunities.

The festival’s headline event, Innovate 2050, will take place on Thursday 16 June, featuring discussions on the future of media, finance, and digital transformation. Confirmed speakers include Kerris Bright, Chief Customer Officer at the BBC; Jess McCreadie, Investment Director at Northern Gritstone; and Siobhan Morgan from Warp Films, the company behind hit TV series Adolescence.

Events throughout the week will also focus on professional development, social enterprise, and entrepreneurship. AMBS leaders and guest speakers will examine how innovation and collaboration can shape a fairer, more sustainable future.

Ken McPhail, Head of AMBS, said:

“Manchester is a city with a proud tradition of pioneering thinking. At AMBS, we’re committed to continuing that legacy. This festival is not just a celebration of our past but a forum to shape the future — one where business plays a central role in delivering inclusive growth and meaningful change.”

The Festival of Business is part of a wider programme of events marking AMBS’s six decades of equipping global leaders to drive innovation and impact.
